Competency 1c: Learning and Human Development
Introduction
The Andrews University Leadership Department advances a set of leadership competencies, which require students to have “theoretical knowledge and practical application” within a set of “core [leadership] competencies” of which the “leadership of the self” is one group of competencies (Leadership Handbook, 2011, p. 36). This first group of leadership competencies addresses “the self-awareness and the personal and professional identity required when practicing leadership;” specifically Competency 1c: Learning and human development describes how leadership “fosters an understanding of the principles of learning and commitment to continuous personal, interpersonal, group, and organizational learning” (Leadership Handbook, 2011, p. 36).
Documentation of Competency 1c: Learning and Human Development
The documents, photographs, and certificates below best represent and illustrate the artifacts that I have generated and verifications, and/or evaluations that I have received related to Competency 1c: Learning and Human Development. Consequently, they demonstrate "an understanding of the principles of learning and commitment to continuous personal, interpersonal, group, and organizational learning” that I have employed to guide my work in leading The Matzevah Foundation, Inc.
