Leader, Activist, and Photojournalist
I am a leader, activist, and photojournalist. I am a leader, who leads people to care for the world around them. I am an activist, who seeks to speak to the injustice that I see around me. I am a photojournalist, who documents life as it unfolds.
The path that I walk is sometimes difficult but rewarding. I began my journey as a photojournalist, who for more than ten years documented daily life in Texas. Along the way, I took the road less traveled and became a Baptist minister. My path led me to Poland, where I encountered the aftermath of the Shoah and my life's ultimate question: What should be my response to the Holocaust?
Through this website, I will document my journey and some of what I have discovered as I seek to answer my life's greatest question.

I think that being an activist means choosing to act and to engage life. When we engage life, it requires of us great courage. We must act justly; however, our actions must be tempered by mercy and governed by humility.

Recent Projects
I lead The Matzevah Foundation, an incorporated, 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation that is registered in Atlanta, GA. The Matzevah Foundation cooperates with the Jewish community of Polish origins to care for and restore Jewish cemeteries in Poland, as well as, commemorate mass graves. The Matzevah Foundation is also tasked with educating the public about the Shoah (Holocaust). I personally have been engaged in Jewish cemetery restoration and commemoration, since 2004.
As a leader, I have led people to care for the people living around them - no matter, who they are. As an activist, I have led people to act and restore Jewish cemeteries. As a photojournalist, I have documented life as I have encountered it. My portfolio will reflect my journey as a leader, activist, and photojournalist.
The photographs to the right are from my most recent work (summer 2016) from Radecznica, Poland, where I participated in the work and documented the commemoration of a mass grave of Jewish victims murdered by the Nazis in 1942.

The Path
After a long winter, life is beginning to emerge once more. We see the first buds of spring stretching forth from a branch of a small tree. The surrounding fields are freshly sown and crops are beginning to break forth once more from the earth.
